Economía is the journal of the Latin American and Caribbean Economic Association (LACEA). Launched in 2000, ECONOMIA publishes 2 issues per year. It has become the outlet of choice for some of the best research conducted in and on Latin America or relevant for the region. ECONOMIA also organizes a session in each year’s Annual Meeting of LACEA, where a selection of published or forthcoming papers is presented and discussed. ECONOMIA’s issues and sessions are made possible thanks to the generous donations of our sponsors: Global Development Network (GDN); LACEA; the LACEA’s Labor Network; The World Bank; The InterAmerican Development Bank; Yale University; Universidad de los Andes; and The David Rockefeller Center for Latin American Studies at Harvard University (DRCLAS).
