Bernardo Guimaraes is a Professor at the São Paulo School of Economics – FGV. Guimaraes completed his Ph.D. in Economics at Yale in 2004 and his first academic job was as an Assistant Professor at the London School of Economics before moving back to Brazil in 2010. He has done research on macroeconomics, international finance, political economy and coordination games and has published articles in journals such as the American Economic Review, Journal of Monetary Economics and Journal of International Economics.
