José Galdo is an Associate Professor of Economics and Public Policy at Carleton University, Ottawa, and also a Research Fellow at the Institute for the Study of Labor (IZA) in Bonn, Germany. His research lies at the intersection of labor economics, program evaluation, and microeconometrics, with particular focus on developing economies. Current research projects include the assessment of regression discontinuity methods and designs, the analysis of Fairtrade labor markets, and the measurement of child labor in agricultural settings. Jose Galdo is a Fulbright Scholar and holds a doctoral degree in economics from Syracuse University and a BA degree from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. |
